Liner-notes offer
glimpses into an artist's career as it is unfolding. When penned
by those most closely associated with his works, they take on special meaning.
Some of you must
be wondering to
yourselves, "why doesn't he just go ahead
and scan in
the backs of those albums and save us all a whole lot of
trouble?" Well,
the answer is really quite simple. It's all to do with tradition. Yes that's right,
that age-old
tradition of picking up the album cover, settling into a comfortable chair and
then
engaging in the total experience of text, photos, and artwork.
